What is a Travelex Cash Passport?
A Travelex Cash Passport is a pre-paid PIN protected travel money card that allows you to withdraw local currency from over 1 million VISA ATMs around the world. It is a safe and convenient way to get cash overseas.
What are the features?

What are the benefits?
Convenience:
Easy to purchase- no bank account is required and there are no age restrictions.
- Unlike travellers cheques, you do not need to carry ID or find a bureau de change. You can access cash in 4 major currencies 24 hours a day at over 1 million Visa ATMs.
- You (or someone back home) can use BPAY to reload your card at any time, anywhere. (Reloads will take 2 business banking days).
- You can obtain card balances and statements, ATM location information and make changes to your PIN online at www.cashpassportcard.com
- The free second backup card is convenient if you lose a card, or if you are travelling with a partner and would like a card each.
- Travelex Cash Passports are instantly issued and are activated within 2 hours of purchase- no need to wait a week to receive your card.
Security:
- The card is PIN protected and not linked to your bank account, so if your card is lost or stolen, no one can access your funds or personal details.
- No need to carry large amounts of cash at all times.
- You receive a second backup card for free. Both cards are connected to the same pool of funds. If one card is lost or stolen, it can be cancelled and you can continue your trip using the second card. There is no inconvenience or delay.
- Free emergency replacement cards are available.
- A 24-hour multilingual help line is available for emergency assistance.
Control:
- No unexpected bills because the card is pre-paid and you are in control of your spending.
- Unused funds can be reclaimed upon returning (fees apply) or you can reuse your card next time you travel.

- No foreign exchange margin applies when using the card to withdraw cash (when the local currency is the same as the card currency, eg. Using the USD card in USA).

What Emergency Assistance is available?
Travelex provides free multilingual 24-hour Emergency Assistance wherever you are in the world.
They can help with:
- Lost or stolen cards and passports
- Legal and medical assistance
- Interpreter services
- Sending messages home
- Access to emergency funds
Example:- You are checking out of your hotel to catch a flight in 4 hours. You realise you have lost both of your cards. You can Free Call the 24-hour Emergency Assistance call centre and cancel your cards and arrange for emergency cash to be sent to the nearest available location free of charge. Now you can pay for your hotel room.

How do I reload the card?
Reloading Cash Passport can be done through:
- Queensland Professional Credit Union; or
- BPAY
BPAY Biller Code: 50179
Customer Reference No: Your 16 digit Cash Passport card number.
Please note:
A fee of up to 1.1% of the load amount applies to reloads made at Queensland Professional Credit Union.
BPAY reloads will take approximately 2 business banking days.
1% commission applies to BPAY reloads as well as a currency conversion for foreign cards.
Exchange rate of the day applies on foreign currency cards.
How can I check my balance and transactions?
To check your balance and get a full list of your transactions visit www.cashpassportcard.com (click on “My Account”) or call the number on the back of your card to receive your card balance.
Some ATMs will also be able to tell you your balance at the time of withdrawing cash.
Which currencies do I use in which country?
The Americas: USD or AUD
Europe: EUR
UK: GBP
Africa: AUD or USD
Asia: AUD or USD
Do I need a different card for each country?
No. Regardless of which currency you purchased your card in, it can be used worldwide. For example, a EUR card can be used in ATMs in the US, and there is then a currency conversion from EUR to USD.
How can I find ATMs?
The Travelex Cash Passport Card can be used at any Visa ATM worldwide.
To find the locations of ATMs around the world, go to www.cashpassportcard.com and use the “ATM Locator”.
Please Note: It is recommended that you check the Visa ATM Locator regularly to ensure that card usage is not restricted in a country you wish to visit, and that there will be an ATM within a reasonable distance of your intended location for you to access.

How do I apply for a Travelex Cash Passport?
To obtain a Travelex Cash Passport card, simply visit Queensland Professional Credit Union between 8:30am-4:30pm Monday-Friday. Once you have read the Terms and Conditions and completed the Application Form you will be immediately issued with your Cash Passport card and PIN. The card will be automatically activated within 2 hours of purchase.

For security reasons Queensland Professional Credit Union cannot mail out the Travelex Cash Passport cards- they must be obtained in person at our branch.
Once you have received your Travelex Cash Passport card, visit www.cashpassportcard.com to access the online services.
Please note- if you are not currently a member of Queensland Professional Credit Union you must also provide 100 points of ID, as outlined in the Terms and Conditions.
